Water For Gas
Water for gas is a concept that is now a reality. While no one
can substitute water for gas on a one to one ratio, a person can
substitute some percentage of water for gas.
Running a car one 100-percent water is still science fiction. It
can't be done. At least not now. But, what can be done and is being
done is to supplement some water for gas in order to increase
gasoline mileage and decrease tailpipe emissions.
The concept is one of simple electrolysis of water. The gas that
results is comprised of hydrogen and oxygen, both flammable in their
gaseous form while inert as water.
The hydrogen and oxygen (or oxyhydrogen or HHO gas) is then
ported into the car's intake system where cylinders and pistons will
burn and churn once a spark is applied. Substituting some water for
gas in this manner will mean less gasoline is actually burned in the
engine. That means better gas mileage and lower emissions. It also
means a bit more power for the car.
While water for gas may seem like a far out concept it's not as
farfetched as it seems. The critics will say this can't be done and
invoke the laws of thermodynamics to prove their points. But, as
earlier stated, they are talking about a 100-percent water powered
car and not one partially powered on water.
So, if you want to exchange some water for gas, then go right
ahead. You'll be making fewer trips to the gas station and that's
not all bad, now is it?
